The Future of Minimally Invasive Care

Interventional radiology (IR) is a field of medicine that utilizes the most advanced technology available to perform image-guided procedures to treat a wide variety of diseases throughout the body,

EMERGENCY IR SERVICES
PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL
VARICOSE VEINS

The demand for all types of radiological imaging and intervention on a 24-hour, seven days a week basis has increased significantly in recent years.

Interventional radiology (IR) is widely recognized as a pivotal clinical service in the management of emergency patients (Lerner et al., 2014) with a large evidence base for IR services’ contribution to improved patient outcomes and safety. The acute pathologies suitable for intervention are broad, from basic procedures such as drainage to time critical haemorrhage control.

We use minimally invasive procedures to treat Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), a common condition caused by obstructions in arteries that carry blood to your legs or arms.

We use the most cutting edge technology to open up blocked vessels of your body.

ONCO- INTERVENTIONAL
NEUROVASCULAR
DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS

Interventional oncology is a subspecialty field of interventional radiology that addresses the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and cancer-related problems by using targeted minimally invasive procedures performed with image guidance.

interventional radiologist can put  cancer-killing therapies like chemotherapy and radioactive medicines directly onto tumors and cancer cells. IR can also kill tumors or cancer cells by heating them up with radio waves or electric currents, or freezing them with ice crystals.

VENOUS ULCER

The condition results from venous hypertension which in turn is usually caused by reflux in the superficial venous compartment. Less common causes include:

  • deep venous compression

  • post-thrombotic stenosis or occlusion

  • deep venous reflux

  • venous hypertension caused by vascular malformations, arteriovenous fistulae, and neuromuscular disorders (rare)

VASCULAR MALFORMATIONS

Children with vascular malformations are best managed with a multidisciplinary team of specialists. Interventional radiology may deliver primary treatment such as staged sclerotherapy and embolization for malformations that are poor candidates for primary surgical resection or play a supportive role such as preoperative or intraoperative embolization.

NEPHROLOGY ACCESS

Hemodialysis is a procedure that withdraws blood from the body into a machine that uses a special membrane (dialyzer) to filter wastes and remove extra fluid from the blood.

The successful hemodialysis program addressing the complex needs of the dialysis patient population employs a collaborative effort among the medical nephrologist, access surgeon, and interventional radiologist.

HEPATOBILIARY

Interventional radiology is a safe, less invasive therapy with less recovery time compared with open surgery. Gastroenterology is a specialty that is linked to interventional radiology. Fortunately, there have been significant advances in innovative radiology in the diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterology diseases in Iran. Patients who have suffered hepatobiliary problems benefit from interventional radiology (IR) techniques.

BIOPSY

In the field of medicine, diagnosing diseases and understanding their underlying causes is a crucial step towards effective treatment. One powerful tool that has revolutionized the way we investigate and comprehend various health conditions is the biopsy. A biopsy provides a window into the human body, allowing medical professionals to examine tissues and cells closely, aiding in accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.

VARICOCELE

Varicoceles may be treated surgically by a urologist (varicocelectomy) or by a minimally invasive method (varicocele embolization) by an Interventional Radiologist.
